Actuarial Club at University of Washington
The Actuarial Club at the UW is a career-oriented student group dedicated to learning about the actuarial profession,
networking with local actuaries, and developing new skills together.
There is no Actuarial Science major or program in the University of Washington. Therefore, our group was started to address a huge knowledge gap present on campus. We serve as the campus's pathway for company recruitment and a source of industry news. We educate UW students with alumni in the field while connecting them with local employers through quarterly company visits and networking events.
Our upcoming Winter 2025 meeting time will be every other Wednesday 6:00 PM at Savery Hall 164
Please stop by to find out more about the club and the actuarial profession!
If you cannot make it to a club meeting and would still like to receive email updates about the club,
please leave your contact information in the Contact page or send a message to [email protected] to be added to the mailing list.

Currently I’m intending to take the P (Probability) exam, and I’m excited to be able to work on those skills in this club. I study asset pricing in particular how to measure assets risks, how quickly information enters markets and the optimal portfolios of firms and non-profit endowments. I worked in the actuarial field at Towers Perrin prior to graduate school. I am an avid hiker, skier and cook.
